Eccentric Nomad | Creative Shoot

As things have slowed down in the studio during this time, I have found the time to sit down and to upload all the creative styled shoots we have been a part of in the past 3 years. Currently we are all in a state of LOCK DOWN and it is not business as usual; we are not fighting our alarms to get ready for work, neither are we scrambling to get everything done on our daily to do lists.

What does this mean for our beautiful mother-land, Africa? A continent where thousands of people generate an income either directly or indirectly from the tourism industry.  For many it means: a country closed for travel, is a country closed for business.  This affects each and every one of us in one way or another. For now the best is to stay at home, to stay safe and to follow the necessary precautions set out by the government to assist in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, to flatten the curve and to help save lives in the process.

But, when we are allowed to travel again, let’s support our local hotels, B&Bs and lodges for family breaks, boys weekends or girls-only trips. Let’s reintroduce ourselves to South Africa again! Enjoy our country’s diversely beautiful people and magical places. Shop at our local grocers; buy flowers from the street vendor on the corner, or have lunch at your favourite neighbourhood bistro.  We will explore like no other time, because we now know what it is not to be able to.

If I am not mistaken, we did this shoot in collaboration with an amazing creative team at the end of 2017!  The main focus was to capture the beautiful sites that Cape Town and surrounds have to offer. PLEASE go and watch the INSPIRATIONAL VIDEO.

Our first scene was shot at WORLD OF BIRDS, the largest bird park in Africa and one of the few large bird parks in the World. Over 3 000 birds (and small animals) of 400 different species are uniquely presented in more than 100 spacious, landscaped walk-through aviaries, allowing you the most intimate closeness with nature.

This shoot was aimed at the couple that is planning a destination wedding or elopement! The gorgeous Mishka Patel, now Loesch, is wearing exquisite ensembles from our Caged Birds capsule collection and our male model, JP Robberts, was dressed by Andrew’s Boutique. See a full list of credits at the end of this post.

Our second scene was shot on the red CITY SITESEEING BUS and a lovely walk-about at the Victoria & Alfred  Waterfront.

Looking at what we have created I am extremely proud and excited for what the future will hold for ALL our industries once the dust has settled.

Our third scene was shot on the rooftop of the hip and happening hotel RADISSON RED in the Silo District. This was the perfect setting for our proposal setup for a vibrant couple that loves to travel and enjoy foreign experiences.

For our fourth and final scene, THE WEDDING! We arranged to shoot at a local hot-spot in Somerset West PAJAMA & JAM EATERY .  You will just love what you are about to see!

A MASSIVE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE INVOLVED!
